Choose faith and courage
When Rebekah learned the servant鈥檚 mission, she simply said, "I will go."At BYU-Pathway, you show courage and faith by leaving comfortable routines behind to pursue higher education. This can bring challenges and growing pains, but, like Rebekah, you can meet these obstacles with faith and confidence.
Minoneti Tonga, a student from Tonga, expressed, "I was about to give up, but I attended a gathering that week and we talked about perseverance. That lesson taught me about doing things despite the difficulty and the challenges I鈥檝e faced, so I had to keep fighting for my goals."
Action vs. procrastination
Rebekah鈥檚 family was hesitant to let her leave so soon. They asked her to stay for at least 10 days, but Rebekah wasted no time and left with Abraham鈥檚 servant immediately.

It can be hard to find time to meet all your responsibilities. Many students have young children, busy work schedules, and demanding church callings, making it tempting to put off homework. But, like Rebekah, if you continue to put first things first, you will be blessed for it.

When Rebekah left her family, they blessed her to become "the mother of thousands of millions."
Part of being a BYU-Pathway student means following God鈥檚 plan for you and trusting Him. Rogelio Saygo Jr. from the Philippines said, "I know that the Lord knew my situation and He was fully aware of my abilities. It is true that it is not easy to study while working but it doesn't mean that it is impossible. The Lord will make the impossible to be possible."
